Biography(references)Born and raised in California, McKenzie began training in MMA while attending University of the Pacific alongside fellow fighters Nick Diaz and his younger brother Nate Diaz, under the tutelage of head coach Cesar Gracie. Later during his career McKenzie moved to Tempe, Arizona to train with AZ Combat Sports.
